1. WHAT IS PRENATAL MASSAGE?
Prenatal massage is very similar to a full body massage. However, our therapists will make a few modifications to ensure the safety and comfort of the mama and the baby.
Only licensed therapists are allowed to perform this procedure.
2. WHAT ARE YOUR THERAPISTS' CREDENTIALS?
Our therapists are NC2 certified and DOH licensed.
3. WHEN IS IT SAFE TO HAVE A PRENATAL MASSAGE?
We don't allow prenatal massage for mommies in their first trimester when miscarriage risk is highest. For some women, massage can set off a detoxification process. During a detox, your body is doing a deep clean and getting rid of stored toxins. This is a problem for pregnant mamas, because some of those toxins may end up back in your blood and can potentially be passed to your developing baby. If you live a clean lifestyle (one that is filled with healthy foods, adequate exercise, and devoid of smoking, drugs, and excessive drinking), this is not likely. But as a safety precaution, we only accept bookings if you are 12 WEEKS AND UP in your pregnancy already.
4. CAN A MASSAGE MAKE YOU HAVE A MISCARRIAGE?
There are actually no studies to suggest a direct correlation between massage and miscarriage.
5. IS IT A FULL BODY MASSAGE?
Yes, since the majority of the body will be treated. However, the abdomen as well as pressure points such as around the ankle, for example, will not be massaged to avoid premature contractions or jump-start labor.
6. WHAT WOULD BE THE POSITION OF THE MAMA DURING THE PROCEDURE?
Laying down on your back semi-reclined by pillows or lying sideways cradling a pillow.

1. WHAT IS LYMPHATIC DRAINAGE MASSAGE?
The primary goal of a therapist providing a lymphatic drainage massage is to stimulate the circulation of lymph fluid around the body. There are 600 to 700 lymph nodes in the human body, each one storing a clear, slightly yellowish fluid containing white blood cells that fights against infections and diseases.
This treatment rapidly speeds up the removal of wastes and toxins from your body which will provide a major boost in your immune system. It also increases metabolic rate so it's a great complement to your regular fitness regimen - a secret recently revealed by our very own VS Angel, Kelsey Meritt, to maintaining her beautiful physique.
2. WHEN IS IT SAFE TO HAVE A LYMPHATIC DRAINAGE MASSAGE?
Anyone can have this procedure however, it is best to avoid it when you have the following:
- fever
- inflammatory disease
- Bleeding (on period) or thrombosis (clot)
- an undiagnosed lump or active cancer
You might feel a bit light-headed during or after the treatment but that is perfectly normal. This is your body's way of reacting to the detoxification process.
3. IS IT A FULL BODY MASSAGE?
Majority of the time will be focused on lymph areas only
4. WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS?
- reduce the chances of suffering from minor colds and viruses
- Help reduce water retention
- Improved metabolic rate helping you burn calories more efficiently
- treatment of lymphedema
- reduces swelling, puffiness and blotches on the skin
- Speeds up healing of scar tissue and improve the appearance of stretch marks
1. Oil Application
Deep Tissue (DT) is a dry massage. No oil application.
Sports Massage (SM) however, needs oil so the skin is lubricated to reduce friction.
2. Massage Technique
Sports Massage Therapy is designed for people who has an active lifestyle.
You'll experience more kneading and rubbing movements with SP to soothe the muscles and this massage comes with stretching. This is also used to help prevent injuries, prepare the body for athletic activity and maintain it in optimal condition.
For DT, on the other hand, you'll find relief from trigger point therapy to discharge tightened muscles and find the exact place and power of discomfort.
3. Pressure
Take SP if you have an active lifestyle and/or if you prefer hard massage with stretching.
DT focuses on the inner layer of your muscles so take it if you're into hard pressure that needs a bit of deep breathing to help you throughout the session.
We understand that plans can change, so if you need to cancel or reschedule your booking, you can do so within 6-24 hours before your massage appointment.
If running late and you still want the therapist to wait for you till you arrive, after 15 minutes of your scheduled time your time will start running and only until the time she's supposed to finish - no extension, with respect for the next appointment.
We put this cancellation and rescheduling policy in place to protect our therapists, as they lose income when cancellations or reschedule to booking occur and need to receive compensation for the time we set aside for you.
Please do know that we will also update via call or text if our therapist is running late due to heavy traffic, rainy weather or any instances we cannot control. We always put one hour of travel time whether it is near or far.
